Terms & Conditions of Sale
Last Updated: August, 2026
The Debord Standard
Every Debord acquisition is intended to bring a considered piece of the natural world into the home.
Our collections are chosen for their form, material character, geological interest, craftsmanship, and visual presence.
Because natural objects possess individual variations and many specimens cannot be identically reproduced, customers should review product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, and care information carefully before completing a purchase.
These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern orders placed through www.maisondebord.com.
By submitting an order, you agree to these Terms.
United States Sales
Debord currently accepts and ships orders only within the United States.
Debord does not currently offer international shipping.
Orders submitted using an unsupported destination, international forwarding service, or arrangement that creates additional shipping or fraud risks may be refused or canceled.
Natural Mineral Characteristics
Minerals are natural objects formed through geological processes.
Natural characteristics may include:
Color differences
Pattern variations
Mineral inclusions
Matrix material
Natural cavities
Fissures
Fractures
Veining
Pitting
Uneven surfaces
Differences in transparency
Variations in shape
Variations in weight
Variations in dimensions
Natural asymmetry
These characteristics are generally part of a mineral’s natural formation and are not automatically considered damage or defects.
Polished, carved, cut, mounted, or otherwise worked pieces may also display minor variations associated with hand-finishing and the natural material.
Exact and Representative Photography
Product listings may offer either:
The exact specimen shown in the photographs
A comparable specimen selected from a group of similar pieces
When a listing uses representative photography, the item received may vary naturally in:
Color
Shape
Pattern
Veining
Inclusions
Transparency
Dimensions
Weight
Surface character
Other individual features
By purchasing a representative item, the customer acknowledges and accepts reasonable natural variation.
Debord seeks to depict products as faithfully as reasonably possible. However, lighting, camera settings, image processing, screen calibration, display brightness, and device settings may affect the appearance of color, scale, texture, and detail.
Measurements and Weights
Measurements and weights are approximate unless a product listing expressly states otherwise.
Minor variations may arise from:
Natural irregularity
Measurement methods
Rounding
Hand-finishing
Differences between comparable inventory pieces
Decorative objects may appear larger or smaller in photographs depending on styling, perspective, and surrounding objects.
Customers are responsible for reviewing listed dimensions before purchasing.
Orders and Acceptance
An electronic order confirmation acknowledges that Debord has received an order. It does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the order.
Debord may accept, refuse, review, place on hold, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including:
Product unavailability
Inventory discrepancies
Pricing errors
Description errors
Photograph errors
Measurement errors
Payment failure
Suspected fraud

These rights apply even after an order confirmation or payment authorization has been issued, to the extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, refunding the amount paid will be the customer’s sole monetary remedy for the canceled item.

Signature Requirement
Orders containing crystals or mineral specimens with a merchandise value greater than two hundred dollars require a recipient signature upon delivery.
Debord may also require a signature for another order when we consider secure delivery appropriate.
A customer who asks a carrier to waive, redirect, release, or alter a signature requirement assumes the risks associated with that instruction to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Lost, Missing, Delayed, or Stolen Packages,
Packages Without Confirmed Delivery
When tracking does not show successful delivery and a shipment appears lost or materially delayed in transit, the customer should email inquiries@maisondebord.com.
Debord may assist with a carrier investigation or insurance claim.
Any resolution will depend upon:
The circumstances
Available evidence
Carrier findings
Insurance coverage
Applicable law
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Debord is not responsible for carrier delay, carrier loss, carrier misdelivery, theft, or circumstances occurring after an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier.
This limitation does not eliminate any refund or other remedy that applicable law requires.

Check the stated delivery location
Ask household members
Ask building staff
Check secure package areas
Review any available delivery photograph

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Debord is not responsible for theft, disappearance, misplacement, or loss occurring after the carrier records delivery to the address supplied by the customer.

Reporting within twenty-four hours allows Debord to document the condition of the shipment and pursue available carrier remedies.
A delayed report may limit Debord’s ability to verify or resolve the claim. This reporting period does not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.
